The indoor riding arena offers a serene environment where the relationship and trust level between horse and rider can be strengthened. This 72 ft x 152 facility includes a well-lit riding surface with secure and dust-free TraveLite™ footing.
We also offer a sand and rubber, 70 ft x 180 outdoor arena. Trails are available around the property and are about a three mile loop.
Our educational programs include symposiums and clinics/learning sessions with national and international trainers.
The indoor facility is also available to rent.
The name “Sacred Dog Farm” is based on a Native American Indian term for a horse. From the Carnegie Museum of Natural History, “As an indication of the importance which the Lakotas [Sioux] gave to horses, they called these animals sunka wakan, an expression meaning ‘sacred dog.’”
